Your eyes do not deceive you. This is Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, and Chuck Jones dressed up as women. This is an extremely rare peek at a Christmas gag reel produced in-house by the animators in the late 30’s, never meant for public consumption. Basically a way to amuse themselves when drawing 1000’s of Daffy Duck drawings couldn’t do the trick.

And now you know why Bugs Bunny is a habitual cross dresser.

The Great Piggy Bank Robbery- The first cartoon that ever aired on Cartoon Network.

It’s noon. 12 pm, on October 1st. At this exact moment in time, 20 years ago, Cartoon Network was born. And Bob Clampett signed the birth certificate.

(Yes, I know wikipedia says “Rabbit Rhapsody” was the first one ever aired. But Variety says it was Piggy Bank, so I’m going with them because I figure they would have done the research.)
